SKAMAR precision ground linear shafting is made from 1060 steel that is induction case hardened to 60-65Rc. This provides a high wear resistant surface and in conjunction with linear ball bearings, roller type bearings, or Teflon composite bearings, can be used in numerous applications. Linear shafting can be custom machined to your specifications. SKAMAR linear shafting is available in standard sizes ranging from 3/16″ to 4″ diameter and Metric sizes 6mm to 80mm. Corrosion resistant shafting with hardness of 50-55RC, case hardened and precision ground to 8RMS. Standard straightness of .001’’ per foot. In stock from ½’’ to 2’’ and metric sizes 12mm to 80mm. Custom machining and predrilled shafts available.
304 TGP offers an excellent corrosion resistant option for liner bearing where moisture is present.
